2015 budget: The White House unveils its fiscal vision for 2015. President Obama previewed the budget last week and it was delivered to Congress on Tuesday. The $3.9 trillion plan calls for a $60 billion increase in spending, including $300 billion for transportation projects.
Russian invasion: Secretary of State John Kerry blasted Russia’s invasion of Ukraine at a press conference in Kiev. Kerry said it’s not appropriate to invade a country and dictate terms over the barrel of a gun.
German homeschool family: The Romeikes have been granted an 11th hour reprieve. The German homeschool family was facing deportation to Germany where the parents would lose custody of their 7 children for choosing to homeschool rather than send their children to public schools.
Same-sex marriage: Kentucky’s governor and attorney general are at odds on same-sex marriage.
Business/economy: WORLD News Group’s Warren Cole Smith reports that the S&P 500 closed at a record high and the Dow was up more than 200 points on news that Russia had paused its military advance in Ukraine.
