Texas marriage: A federal judge has struck down a Texas constitutional amendment protecting traditional marriage. The ruling essentially nullifies the will of 76 percent of Texas voters who approved the amendment in 2005.

Eric Holder: Attorney General Eric Holder is drawing fire for telling states they may refuse to defend marriage laws. Holder allowing state attorneys general the ability to refuse to defend marriage laws in their states, if they think the laws are wrong.

IRS abuses: Lois Lerner will get another chance to talk about the IRS scandal on Capitol Hill.

Healthcare and immigration: The House Judiciary Committee is also busy this week, looking into the president’s use of executive orders to implement policy in healthcare and immigration.
