Obama administration backs off Tyndale suit
WORLD News Group vice president Warren Smith has been following the Boy Scouts of America as it considers a change in its policy on homosexuality. You can read his article “Scouts in the balance,” published in the May 18 edition of WORLD Magazine.
Tyndale House Publishers is one of 59 organizations/individuals fighting the contraceptive mandate in Obamacare that requires employers to provide contraceptives, abortifacients and sterilization in their employee healthcare plans. Tyndale was granted a preliminary injunction in November 2012. The Obama administration had appealed the injunction, but dropped the case last week. Tyndale will not have to abide by the mandate as its case moves forward in court.
