Virginia Senate sacks Tebow Bill...again

Humorist Albin Sadar: Lost in the great outdoors

A committee of the Virginia state Senate this week voted down the so-called Tebow Bill for the second year in a row. The bill would have given local school boards the option to allow high school homeschoolers to try out for public school sports teams and other extracurricular programs.

Twenty-seven states have existing laws similar to the Tebow bill, providing homeschoolers with opportunities to participate in public school interscholastic activities.

Humorist Albin Sadar works for a media-production company in New York. Visit his company's website at Slycraft.com.
