The U.S. Department of Agriculture's latest report on the Supplemental Nutrional Assistance Program (SNAP) shows that food stamp use has surged to its highest level ever, with 47.1 million enrollees.

Evangelical churches on Staten Island are working together to gather and dispense much needed supplies to victims of Hurricane Sandy.
