  • Dec. 4, 1563 - The final session of the Council of Trent concludes. The ecumenical council of the Roman Catholic Church condemned a key doctrinal emphasis of the Reformation.
  • Dec. 3, 1964 - Police arrest 800 students at the University of California at Berkeley who had stormed the administration building and staged a sit-in.
