D.C. Fourth of July festivities, fireworks too risky in Colorado, Andy Griffith dies at 86
Despite widespread power outages in the Washington, D.C., area from last Friday's storm, the annual Fourth of July concert and fireworks will go on as scheduled. But there will be no fireworks in Colorado as wildfires continue to rage. TV icon Andy Griffith died Tuesday, leaving behind a legacy through his 1960s sitcom 'The Andy Griffith Show' and the moral worldview it represented.
