Hosted by WORLD News Group's Warren Cole Smith, Listening In features extended conversations with newsmakers and thought leaders.
“Our goal is to explore topics as thoughtfully as possible,” says WORLD Radio Executive Producer Nick Eicher. “It’s more like NPR’s Fresh Air or public television’s Charlie Rose, but with an objective Christian perspective.”
The Listening In podcast is posted each Friday. (The program is available to radio stations via FTP download. For technical details, contact: Jonathan Bailie at email@example.com.)

A conversation about Christmas music with Andrew Peterson and Keith Getty
This week, Warren Smith speaks with two singer/songwriters, Andrew Peterson and Keith Getty, about Christmas music.
For the past 15 years, Andrew Peterson and a circle of musical collaborators have toured the country with a Christmas show called “Behold The Lamb of God.” The program tells not just the Christmas story, the coming of the baby Jesus, but rather the full arc of the coming and ultimate second coming of the Messiah.
Keith Getty and his wife Kristyn Getty are well-known to church musicians. Their song “In Christ Alone,” which Keith co-wrote with Stuart Townsend, has become a staple of Sunday morning worship. The Gettys haven’t been doing Christmas tours as long as Andrew Peterson, but they have already become a tradition in some parts of the country, and this past week they made their Carnegie Hall debut, selling out the venerable auditorium on New York City’s Upper West Side.
