Listening In

Hosted by WORLD News Group's Warren Cole Smith, Listening In features extended conversations with newsmakers and thought leaders.

“Our goal is to explore topics as thoughtfully as possible,” says WORLD Radio Executive Producer Nick Eicher. “It’s more like NPR’s Fresh Air or public television’s Charlie Rose, but with an objective Christian perspective.”

The Listening In podcast is posted each Friday. (The program is available to radio stations via FTP download. For technical details, contact: Jonathan Bailie at jbailie@wng.org.)

A conversation with Benedict Rogers of Christian Solidarity Worldwide

Benedict Rogers is the East Asia Team Leader for Christian Solidarity Worldwide, a human rights organization specializing in religious liberty. Rogers concentrates on issues in North Korea, Indonesia, and Burma. He authored the 2013 book, Burma: A Nation at the Crossroads, which includes an introduction by Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Rogers has traveled to Burma more than 40 times in the past 15 years, and he contributes regularly to the Guardian, the International Herald Tribune, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Warren Cole Smith had this conversation with Rogers in Florida at a conference hosted by Christian religious liberty law firm Alliance Defending Freedom.
