Up from Potterville

Cover Story | On the 50th anniversary of the release of the perennial holiday classic It's a Wonderful Life, WORLD traveled to a real-life Bedford Falls that was threatened by all the influences that threatened to transform it into a Potterville. And as in the movie, we found a real-life George Bailey, who with his wife shared a sense of decency and duty and Christian saltiness that helped preserve the community.
