Eve wore a bright red scarf on her head to her next office chemotherapy visit. “There’s more to me than hair. And all the rest of me is in God’s hands,” Eve said with confidence. It took alopecia for Eve to understand that.

Delvyn practiced clinical hematology/oncology for 32 years and is a regular contributor to the Reflections column of the Portland (Maine) Press Herald. He directed drama ministry for 20 years at his Portland church and now does the same at First Presbyterian Church, Bonita Springs, Fla. His play Kabul Screams had an Off Off Broadway production in 2012, and his play Whose Rite? is scheduled for production at the Boston Theater Marathon in May 2014.
