The Obama administration said it will “continue to support a democratic transition” in Egypt, but no high-level U.S. officials have met with interim government leaders. Retired Maj. Gen. Paul Vallely, who co-led the recent U.S. delegation, told me Thursday that plans are in motion to send another, higher profile delegation in the next 60 days to offer direct support to the transitional government.
