Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott after the Justice Department announced it will sue the state of Texas over its voter ID law. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder said the intent of the 2011 Texas law is to suppress minority voters.

‘It’s almost a state of emergency for women across India.’

Rahul Bose, a Bollywood actor in India, on the latest outcry over gang rape after a photojournalist in her 20s was attacked in Mumbai, India, on Aug. 22 and brutally raped by five suspects. The number of foreign female tourists coming to India during the first three months of this year reportedly fell by 35 percent after a widely reported December gang rape in New Delhi, in which the victim died.
