Attention readers, WORLD Magazine may be coming to a city near you next month. And this reporter needs your help.
In an effort to get outside the isolating confines of the Capital Beltway and my regular routine as WORLD's Washington bureau chief, I'm starting a coast-to-coast trek on August 2. In going from Washington (D.C.) to Washington (state), I hope to get beyond the congressional spin and measure the pulse of real Americans in advance of this November's key midterm elections.
Over the course of my journey across this great country, I am particularly interested in spending time with informal but influential community leaders: area school principals, doctors, Rotary Club presidents, those who are quietly influential in your community and have the ears of the people living your community.
If you live in the cities listed below---or along the path in-between---then WORLD would like for you to help point us toward the key people described above. Please respond to me with contact information via email. If you do, you could help our magazine and online readers across the country better understand how their views, priorities, and fears compare with the rest of the nation.
The direction of America is at stake in the 2010 midterm elections. So if you are along this route, reach out, help WORLD, and make sure that your voice is heard.
