At a "Peace Village" near the southwestern town of Mutambara in Burundi, the women come to practice a chorus before a service at the local church (background). Some 300 resident families who live in this Peace Village are part of a larger group-half a million Burundian refugees-who have come back to the East African nation since 2002 after fleeing to neighboring countries during a 13-year civil war.
