Peace, peace

"Peace, peace" Continued...

Whether it's a sanctions regime against Iran or nation-building in Afghanistan and Iraq, there is little evidence that the UN or Norway has learned from past mistakes-Benon Sevan fled to his native Cyprus where he cannot be extradited to the United States, Kofi Annan retired to Ghana, and Ole Peter Kolby serves as Norway's ambassador to Denmark. The UN shut down the Oil for Food program in 2003 with no reparations to Iraqis or others it victimized. If that constitutes peace, it's less like the peace of one's dreams and more like the peace of the grave.
