Antioch Christian Church in Allendale, S.C., organized in 1833, was the second Disciples of Christ Church in South Carolina. It is the oldest standing structure of that denomination in the state and is an example of meeting house church architecture. Inside are plaster walls and original pews of hand-hewn pine. The building was used as a courthouse in 1865, and the site includes an antebellum cemetery.
