"Sports" Continued...

After the honeymoon, will there be the feud? The New York press, ever ready for a spat between stars, is bringing to the surface comments newest Yankee Alex Rodriguez made about team captain Derek Jeter several years ago. In 2001, Mr. Rodriguez told Esquire that Mr. Jeter never had to lead on the Yankees. Both say their relationship has smoothed over time. But the ingredients for disagreement exist-both are proud players and both play the same position. And while Mr. Jeter has been the Yankees' biggest star, Mr. Rodriguez is arguably the league's best player.
