Marriage of convenience
JUSTICE: Nearly six years after its establishment, the International Criminal Court is set to begin its first trial next month in The Hague, Netherlands. WORLD's Jamie Dean reports that the trial of Democratic Republic of Congo rebel leader Thomas Lubanga represents the first case tried by the independent court formally supported by more than 100 nations, but famously criticized by the United States. RELIGION: What does it mean to be an evangelical? Decade after decade new declarations and explanations emerge, and some are mouthfuls of mush. But the latest, titled "An Evangelical Manifesto: The Washington Declaration of Evangelical Identity and Public Commitment," unveiled Wednesday is likely to do some good.
